Getaway 4WD Club Inc (WA) |

Welcome to the Getaway 4WD Club, a small but friendly club that enjoys getting out in the great outdoors. The club meets at 8pm on the fourth Wednesday of the month at the Beaufort Park Hall, Drummond Street, Bedford. New members are always welcome.
The club's aims are to encourage the skilful and responsible use of four wheel drive vehicles in all situations. However, it's not a hard core 4WDriving club. It's more about getting together around the campfire, checking out interesting bush history and seeing WA's stunning landscape with a group of like-minded people.
![]() There are plenty of experienced members who can offer advice to new members who are interested in learning more about the correct four-wheel driving techniques for their vehicles and the conditions they encounter, and the safe operation of recovery gear.
![]() Our trips rate from scenic and easy through to hard and difficult. However, on many of the trips, particularly along station tracks, our vehicles don't even go into 4WD.
The day trips, weekenders and extended trips away are more an opportunity to soak up the history of an area and to check out the wildflowers and the amazing landscape and stunning scenery of the outback.
Most of all, it's about the fantastic camaraderie of travelling in the safety of a convoy with who love the outdoors and having a bit of a chin wag while sitting around a campfire.
The club follows normal convoy procedures, where you are responsible for the vehicle behind you in the convoy when making turns to ensure that no one gets lost.
